Judging Process
A Fair and Credible Adjudication Process
The Saskatoon Destination Leadership Awards are reviewed by a volunteer adjudication committee drawn from the Discover Saskatoon and Saskatoon Destination Marketing Hotels boards of directors, Discover Saskatoon's membership, and Saskatoon's broader visitor economy.
The committee will be selected to represent a balanced cross-section of sectors, experience, and perspectives.
How Nominations Are Evaluated
1. Eligibility Review
All nominations are reviewed to confirm they meet the eligibility requirements and include sufficient information for adjudication.
2. Independent Assessment
Each eligible nomination is reviewed independently by adjudicators using a standardized scoring rubric based on the published category criteria.
3. Committee Deliberation
Adjudicators meet to discuss the strongest nominations and confirm finalists and award recipients.
4. Final Confirmation
Results are confirmed before finalists and recipients are notified.

Criteria vary by category but may include:
- Leadership

Conflicts of Interest

An adjudicator will not review, score, or participate in deliberations related to a nomination where a conflict exists.
Confidentiality
Nomination materials, scoring, and adjudication discussions will be treated as confidential.
Only information approved for public use will be shared as part of finalist and recipient communications.
Final Decisions
The decisions of the adjudication committee are final.
Discover Saskatoon and Saskatoon's Best Hotels reserve the right not to present an award in a category if nominations do not meet the required standard.
